This is a late war para M1-C helmet composed of a rear seam shell stamped 1195D produced in February 1945 and a WW2 Capac liner that has been later rigger modified with the addition of A-yokes for paratroops use. The original wartime corked paint is very well preserved. The liner is completed with a fine midwar blackened steel buckle chinstrap. All in all it is a wartime produced helmet that probably saw a little operational use just after the war.
