SSH36 W/RED STAR

Russian helmet "Kaska" Mod. 1936. This was the helmet used by Red Army at the beginning of WW2. It still has its typical cloth liner with corrugated metal around. An air vent is under the comb. This one has the typical wartime light green paint and sports a red star with sickle and hammer in front. The shell is a bit salty showing rusty areas. The liner is complete and in good condition and so is the canvas chinstrap, original to the helmet. The stamp is barely legible, it looks a size 3 (big) and the year of production 1939.
