Helmet M-1917A1 with cork texture olive drab finish and khaki two pieces cotton and brass buckle chinstrap with release hook. This example is in gorgeous condition and besides sports an absolutely uncommon Warrant Officer decal. Leather is also in good condition, showing little usage. Stamp markings for heat and shipment number is " C 3 1 6 ".
This is the helmet worn by U.S. troops in the first battles of WW2, before the adoption of the M1.
