NORWEGIAN M31 “BALTIK HJÄLMAR”
The Baltic helmet Mod. 1931 is of Swedish design, but manufactured in Norway by the Raufoss Ammunisjonfabrikker and adopted since 1931. It looks like the Swedish M26 apart of an embossed comb and a different liner made of a steel band, with three cushion pads, held by 3 rivets. Two more rivets retain the chinstrap loops. It’s a rare helmet, not more than 9,000 were produced. The decal on the left side is the one of the collaborationist State Police under the German SS control.
