M42 LUFTWAFFE SD ET66
Helmet M42 of the Luftwaffe. The blue rough textured paint is retained about 80% outside with some scrapes and scuffs and about 90% inside where a nice dome stamp is clearly visible. 2 rivets are tight to the shell, one is a bit loose but all are original to the helmet, the liner dosen't show evidence to have ever been dismounted. The metal ring is dated 1942.
Luftwaffe decal is very clear and bright, retained in about 70%. The liner is in good condition. The leather size 59 is soft and all leaflets present without any tears. Original drawstring is present. The shell is well marked with manufacturer's code and shell size ET 66, the production lot number is 1(2?)72. The chinstrap is missing.
