Standard helmet M42 of the Heer. The feldgrau slightly rough textured paint is retained in about 80% with some scrapes and scuffs. Inside a light surface rust is present in the dome. The rivets are tight and untouched. The leather liner is darkened by age but still soft and pliable, all leaflets in place with original drawstring. The shell is marked with manufacturer's code, size and production lot, both on the rear. The chinstrap is a full length 13 holes in fair condition, pretty dry. No marking readable.
