M40 KRIEGSMARINE #2
The steel shell retains about 85% of the rough textured feldgrau paint. Inside the paint is almost 100% apart of a sot of rust on the dome. All three liner retaining rivets are original to the helmet and never dismounted. On the left side of the helmet the golden eagle decal of the KM is retained about 30%. The M31 leather liner size 56 is supple, in very good condition and complete of the original drawstring. The interior neck guard brim it is marked with serial number stamp “1148". The interior left side brim is stamped with the manufacturers code and size, "Q62". The chinstrap is a full length 13 holes in good condition, well marked "G.Schiele Loburg 1939".
