The Polish Wz50 helmet was a clear attempt by the Polish government to mimic the Soviet SSh40 helmet, a design imitated by most of the Warsaw Pact nations during the early 1950’s. The leather liner instead is a copy of the Italian M33. This Polish Wz50 steel shell retains all of its satin finish dark green paint. Like most Wz.1950 helmets, it has a red star insignia stenciled to the front of the shell. The net is original to the helmet.
