This steel helmet is first communist hungarian helmet adapted from then current Russian/Soviet helmet, the model 1940 World War Two six rivet design. Helmet is distinctively Hungarian as noted by the liner pads and the ink stamped markings inside. Helmet is early model (dated 1953) with red star on front.
