M33 GNR

Italian RSI helmets, like other fascist stuff, are very rare nowadays. It is more common to find a fake or a repro. This untouched steel helmet was found in northern Italy, it belonged to a veteran of WW2 and it is guaranteed to be original 100%. On the left side a square spot missing the paint indicates where a plume holder was soldered. On the front there is a first type G.N.R. (Guardia Nazionale Repubblicana) emblem. The typical RSI dark green paint is mixed with a lighter green paint creating a sort of camo pattern. On the back side, it is barely visible, scratched on the metal, the writing "mamma ritornerò", "mom I'll come back". Overall paint is reatained about 75%. The leather liner size 59 is dry and torn here and there as you can see from photos. The chinstrap is original to the helmet and in good condition.
